this one's fucked - heartbreakingly so. this album covers some heavy themes: rape, violence, stalking, you get the gist.

i don't know if i'd listen to certain tracks again. 'a psychopath' samples a 911 call from a home invasion incident. most sources say it was a real call (used w/ permission), others say it was an operator test recording. either way, i was genuinely unsettled. the emotion is raw and, of course, the themes at hand are gutwrenching. i honestly think it's worth hearing, but not if you're not in the right headspace for it or sensitive to the subject matter. still, as a whole, this album was such a captivating listen.

i remember seeing concept photos of jiyu for UNCUT GEM ages ago, but i forgot about them until this EP popped up in my last.fm recommendations. i can't remember the last time i've been this addicted to a k-pop group before! their sound is really refreshing.

oooh, this was pleasant! definitely coming back to this. the beats are funky - in a good way, of course. i love when basslines are prominent, which is probably why i like this genre. i wish some of the tracks were longer, honestly.

this was such a fun listen!!!!! the synths are so addicting to listen to - very much reminds me of old video games or something i'd hear in a sonic game... i don't know how to describe it properly. i'll be listening to 'well and spring' on repeat until i'm sick of it, probably.

can you tell i've been in the mood for game OSTs? pretty much the same notes as the previous log, though i have to admit that i like SH2's OST a lot more than SH3's.

i've heard a few tracks from this soundtrack in the past, but this is actually the first time i've listened to it from start to finish. not exactly the best thing to play when you can't sleep, but still lovely! the way akira yamaoka establishes atmospheres through ambience is crazy to me. for example, 'ashes and ghost' and 'silent haven'. both fit the game perfectly and are superrr eerie.

i have no idea why this album didn't click with me at first, but i'm currently obsessed with it. i love the trip-hop influence in 'tequila coma', and the acoustic elements in '1967' are so, so lovely. of course, the visuals are also insane, but that's to be expected. my only complaint is that the album feels kinda short, but i'll take what i can get. this is definitely one of my favourite albums by yeule, along with softscars.

aurally and visually stunning! i love how the music videos are reminiscent of the early 2000s, 'vampire' in particular. 'any noise' is my favourite by far, though. i love the grainy, hand-held cinematography.

very charming. i love the use of the synth throughout the album. the way the tone shifts is really captivating; it's introspective and subdued at times, then upbeat and lively at others. i loved it. consistently beautiful all round!

so fucking amazing and extremely underrated. i constantly come back to this album. i think it's is a great introduction to trip-hop, and it's what got me into the genre to begin with!
